Surprise: More Republicans than Democrats have negative views of Muslims
I suppose it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise that many more Republicans than Democrats have negative views of Muslims. American feelings about Islam are partisan -- 54 percent of Republicans have an unfavorable view of Islam compared to 27 percent of Democrats. In November 2001 there was not the same partisan divide of opinions on Islam.I wonder what the correlations are between negative views of Muslims and support for Israel (I'd bet it's 1:1) and between positive views of Muslims and lack of support for Israel (I'd bet it's more than 0.5:1).
Hmmm.
