'Palestinians': No peace without Gaza

Here's yet another reason why peace won't be happening anytime soon. The 'Palestinians' say they won't make peace with Israel until they regain control of Gaza.
Palestinian negotiators will not sign a peace deal with Israel unless it includes the Gaza Strip, the PLO envoy to the United States reiterated ahead of the first round of negotiations in Washington.

Ambassador Maen Areikat was playing down concerns at home that Gaza, ruled by the PLO's rival Hamas movement since 2007, was being overlooked in the talks that began 2 September in the US capital.
But hang in there: It gets even better.
"When we talk about a solution or resolution to the conflict, of course we are including Gaza and including the people of Gaza," Areikat says citing certain US "assurances" that the talks will lead to a future state that will be contiguous/span>.
If the 'Palestinian' reichlet is contiguous between the 'West Bank' and Gaza, guess which other state is by definition (unless it's only going to be left with its northern half) not contiguous.
"It was a very difficult two months of discussions with the US and with other countries" before the PLO received these assurances, he said, but the Ramallah-based leadership felt they were enough to move forward.
Did the 'Palestinians' receive such assurances? If so, does Bibi know about them? If so, why are we in Washington at all? Whether or not those assurances were received, what could go wrong?

Jews should die clearing Gaza of Hamas ... for the PLO? Let Abbas go in and clear it out and once he's done that we'll take it from him! How's that for a plan?

You should thank them for making Netanyahu's job easier.

Two things are clear: no one is going to overthrow the Hamas regime in Gaza and there will be no Palestinian state. Why Israel is even bothering with the entire farcical exercise, no one knows.

There will be no peace in our lifetime.
