Lieberman's mis-step

Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman got this one wrong. Very wrong.
Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said Monday that Israel and the Palestinian Authority need to reach a long-term interim agreement in their diplomatic talks. Speaking to Czech President Petr Necas during a meeting in Prague, Lieberman said, "Any attempt to artificially hurry the process can be compared to a premature birth that endangers both sides, the mother as well as the baby. So it is in this case that we must go forward at a natural pace."
While I agree that 'peace' cannot be rushed, the notion that Israel should give up real estate without a final settlement agreement is beyond absurd.

I do agree with Lieberman it only makes sense to exchange territory on a 1-1 basis. The PA gets Israel's Palestinians and Israel gets all the Jewish revanants.

Two states for two peoples!

Unfortunately, that's not really what the Palestinians have in mind.

Peace is a long ways off.
