IDF: Enough is enough

The government finally decided on Wednesday afternoon that it had seen enough 'projectiles' (I'm getting to hate that word) launched at us from Gaza this week, and it sent the IDF to exact a price.
Israeli Air Force bombed targets in Gaza Wednesday, killing at least one terrorist after a massive missile and mortar barrage on southern Israel Wednesday morning.

At least 10 explosions rocked the south from the western Negev to an area between the port cities of Ashkelon and Ashdod. A major electricity generating station and oil and gas pipelines are located in Ashkelon. Ashdod is home to dozens of oil refineries.

Arab sources said one terrorist was killed in the reprisal attack at Rafiah, a city the straddles the border between Gaza and Egypt and which is a prime source of smuggling tunnels. The IDF aerial attack came hours before Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu at his official residence in Jerusalem.

Neither Abbas nor American officials have commented on the terrorist attacks from Gaza, a region that is in name part of the Palestinian Authority but which has set up a separate government in Gaza since Hamas ousted Abbas’ Fatah party government in a militia war more than three years ago.

I saw this on Sky News earlier.

Here is how it was reported.

To start with it said "Israel killed Palestinian in air strike" on the "Breaking News" ticker tape. Nothing else was on the ticker - so it was just repeated for several minutes.

The reporter then approached the subject by stating that A Palestinian died in an Airstrake wile the US was trying to work on a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians.

That was it.

It sounded extremely inappropriate for Israel to be engaging in operations during those negotiations - like it was stabbing the Americans in the back despite all their hard efforts.

Onto the death - that was not explained at all. No clarification as to who they were... just "A Palestinian was killed".

No context was provided at all. No history. And of course, no reports were made about all the rocket attacks Israel has been hit with over the past few days.

Its about time Israel started destroying the mansions and palaces of the Hamas' leaders. If they want to play with fire, it should end up consuming them.

The Hamas' ruling class impunity must be ended and the sooner the better, the better off every one living in Southern Israel will be.
