... that Monday, September 13 was the 17th anniversary of the hideous handshake on the White House lawn.
We'd like to forget it.Where were you when it happened? Believe it or not, I was sitting in a conference room in New York (I lived in Israel by then) representing a higher-up in the Labor party. That deal never happened either.
I believe that Rabin was fooled. I wonder whether he would have tried to put a stop to Oslo if he had lived or whether he would have kept pretending it was working.
