Hezbullah's Potemkin village

Here's video of an empty Hezbullah village in southern Lebanon that's being used for weapons caches.

Let's go to the videotape.

I am told that in Lebanon you do not pay taxes on a home that is partly completed. As a result, it is a common practice to leave an entire floor exposed as such, or leave out windows from some of the rooms, etc., just to avoid the tax.

Carl - every village with sight of the Israeli border in Lebanon is populated by Hezbollah. No real civilians live there. You don't think they would want to buy property in the middle of a war zone? Well, neither would you or I do it. Its insane.

And why Israel is leaving them all untouched is another of the Middle East's mysteries to which no one knows the answer.
