'Brodsky' to be extradited to Germany, but not charged with espionage or membership in a foreign intelligence organization

'Uri Brodsky,' the Israeli arrested in connection with the forging of a German passport that was used to liquidate Hamas terrorist Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, will be extradited to Germany, a Polish court ruled on Thursday afternoon.

But he will only be charged with forging a passport, and not with espionage or membership in a foreign intelligence service, according to a report on Israel radio. At the end of this post, I will tell you why.
Warsaw's appeals court on Thursday upheld a July ruling ordering Brodsky extradited to Germany on forgery charges only. That means he can only be tried in Germany for forgery and not spying, which would spare Israel a possibly embarrassing espionage trial.

Brodsky was arrested in Warsaw in June on a European warrant charging him with espionage and helping to falsely obtain a German passport. The passport was allegedly used in connection with the Jan. 19 slaying of Hamas commander Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai.
'Brodsky' must be handed over to Germany within the next ten days. The reason he cannot be charged with the other crimes? They're not crimes in Poland.

Heh.

The Poles handing over Jews to the Germans.

After 70 years, nothing has changed.

Well maybe the only small change now is the Germans won't execute Brodsky. But there is still the double standard.

He's being accused of doing what the Russians did and every intelligence service in the world does and this is accepted as a routine spy trade practice. But what's allowed of others is punished when the Jew does the same thing.

Its just sick!

I totally agree with NormanF, that's what I thought immediately.

When you see and experience the young Poles in London since 2002, as I have on a daily basis, this is not surprising. They are rude, aggressive and try to stop non-poles going into their shops.

They are also given priority over young English people in taking jobs. Many employers use Polish agencies and import them wholesale into the country.

They are also bedevilling the building trade: they know nothing and there are already signs that buildings they have worked on are collapsing.
