Very good, Ms. Leitner. Is there a branch of the lawsuit for lost business? We were in Israel for a tour in July '06. We made it around the northern loop (we were in Hagoshrim listening to Mosh Ben-Ari sing live at an outdoor concert - fabulous! - the night before it all started), and were driving down to Jerusalem (with several sightseeing stops) the day the soldiers were kidnapped. We were to be in Jerusalem for a couple of days and then, as the tour ended, our family was going to go back up to Haifa where I had meetings scheduled with some scientists at the Technion. This was my third try, the first two cancelled because of bus bombings. Technion closed in July '06 (and of course you've seen from Israel's technology achievement, they just kept working from their houses), so I never got to meet them. My whole business initiative collapsed because of that. So can Aljazeera be sued for encouraging the rockets to keep flying and wrecking a good business opportunity?
I am an Orthodox Jew - some would even call me 'ultra-Orthodox.' Born in Boston, I was a corporate and securities attorney in New York City for seven years before making aliya to Israel in 1991 (I don't look it but I really am that old :-). I have been happily married to the same woman for thirty-five years, and we have eight children (bli ayin hara) ranging in age from 13 to 33 years and nine grandchildren. Four of our children are married! Before I started blogging I was a heavy contributor on a number of email lists and ran an email list called the Matzav from 2000-2004.
