They can't spell and they can't provide internet service

I've just had two and a half hours with no internet service.

We used to have this nice little company called Actcom. We had them from 1994. Unfortunately, a couple of years ago, they were bought out by Bezeq (yes, that's how they spell it), our (allegedly former) monopolist local phone company.

Bezeq's service is AWFUL - we have much more frequent outages than we ever had. If you're in Israel, I urge you to get your service elsewhere.

UPDATE 3:43 PM

Within two minutes after I wrote this, the service went down for another two hours.

They were bought out by Bezeq Benleumi (aka Bezeq International). They are not the same as Bezeq, but a spinoff subsidiary. While I miss Actcom too (was a subscriber from 2001) I haven't had a horrible experience with the new owners. Do you have any other suggestions other than "anyone else?"

It has been really hard to avoid the big ISPs. We had a great one called Interal who also got bought by Bezeq. We've finally found one called icomm who are pretty good.

Hi Carl -
The ISP actcom was taken over by the ISP "Bezeqint".
"Bezeq" is the name of the access provider that provides the physical line into your house that provides both phone service and ADSL service.
I think these companies may still be related, but they are different companies with different support desks, web sites, etc.
Which one collapsed - your ADSL connection or your ISP?
