Five Israeli 'spies' flee Lebanon

A Beirut newspaper reported on Thursday that five more Israeli 'spies' (workers for the country's phone carrier) have escaped Lebanon.
In relation to a recent espionage affair, Lebanese newspaper Al Diyar reported Thursday that a former Lebanese army officer who is suspected of spying for Israel had fled Lebanon. The officer is currently in Frankfurt, the report added.

The officer, Rasan al-Jud is suspected of aiding Israel in conjunction with employees at Alfa, the state-owned mobile telecom company.

Lebanese security forces were searching for four suspected technicians from the company who have also fled from Lebanon, the newspaper reported.
