Erdogan upset over IDF soldier photos
On Sunday, the Turkish daily Hurriyet published the photo above and several others of beaten IDF soldiers on the deck of the Mavi Marmara last Monday (more photos here; Hat Tip: Martin Kramer).At first the Turks were pleased because the pictures showed how they 'humiliated' the IDF soldiers (I'd call it a sucker punch and the mark of people who fight dirty), but now Prime Minister Erdogan is said to be unhappy. The photos show that it was the thugs on the boat who started the fight.

I wonder what Condoleeza has to say these days... she's such a smart woman, but I will never forget two things... first, when we were in Israel in summer '06 and the soldiers were kidnapped and the rockets were coming in from Lebanon, I remember the soldiers going in, coming out, going in, coming back out... and they said it was because Condoleeza was working the phones with Olmert et al pressuring them not to fight. The result of her effort was 1701, under which the U.N. has facilitated the re-arming of Hezbullah in southern Leb and their reassertion of thuggish control over the Leb govt.
The second thing I remember her saying was that she identified with the Palestinians as people like the civil rights activists in the U.S. south in the 60s. I was old enough to remember this, the glory of MLK's non-violent approach and his success... And I thought when Condoleeza said it and just as strongly now that she deeply insulted the southern civil rights movement. And now these photos are the fruit of showing non-support and weekness for a western democracy being attacked in a rough part of the world.
I'll look around to see if she's saying anything now.
Wow! Talk about a from-the-mouth-of-Pharoah event. That is doing something that gets turned back on the doer.
In Hurriyet's, or whomever it was, blind need to humiliate Israel even further by printing those photos, they inadvertently prove true the IDF's allegations about being attacked by the “peaceniks.” All that from a Muslim source.
Hurriyet, hurry up and “brag” some more!

And the photos show that Israel is blameless in its reaction to the thuggery on the Marmara. Don't hold your breath waiting for the Turks to apologize to Israel for leading the international lynch mob against it.
What could go wrong indeed
There's that pesky truth again that seems to regularly jackslap the MSM and the left so frequently. Of course, in a few days, with the help of Europe, the UN and the perpetually offended Arab world, they will do what they do so well with the truth - ignore it.
