Whose side is she on anyway?
Does this sound to you like a loyal opposition? Kadima head Tsipi Livni expressed satisfaction at the opening of indirect proximity talks between Israel and Palestinian Authority, and said she hoped that the negotiations would be conducted sincerely, and not as an attempt by each side to expose the other as being less interested in peace.When did she become a mediator? Isn't she still supposed to be on our side?
“The purpose of the talks must be to reach an agreement, not just to conduct negotiations,” Livni said. “The question is, are the two sides serious, or are both, or either side, trying to waste time and expose their partner as the one that does not want to reach an agreement.” The true test of whether the talks are worth the effort, she said, are whether or not there are results.

I though Livni was supposed to be for Israel? What is it with this faux neutrality? One gets the impression she's George Mitchell's errand girl rather than the leader of the Israeli opposition.

Livni has only ever been on Livni's side.
We have seen time and time again that she cares nothing for the security of this country of ours, and is willing to do and say anything to get back into power.
Now you know why I commented last week that it's too bad she didn't go to the UK and wind up being arrested there.
If we can't expedite her to England, how about the Gaza or to Ramallah or a parachute drop anywhere in Lebanon? We've got planeloads of such ilk.
