'Israel made the world better...' says

David Petraeus.
The Holocaust survivors who helped build Israel "made our world better," US Gen. David Petraeus said Thursday.

"The men and women who walked or were carried out of the death camps, and their descendents, have enriched our world immeasurably in the sciences and in the arts, in literature and in philanthropy," said Petraeus, the key note speaker at the US Holocaust Memorial Museum commemoration in the Capitol Rotunda.

"They have made extraordinary contributions in academia, in business, and in government. And, they have, of course, helped build a nation that stands as one of our great allies. The survivors have, in short, made our country and our world better, leaving lasting achievements wherever they settled."
But don't worry: The Obama administration will continue to try to spin Petraeus as claiming that Israel endangers US troops in Afghanistan and Iraq.

According to Barry Rubin, a leaked memo from Secretary Gates' office reveals the Obama Administration has no military option on the table for stopping Iran.

So yes, they can say nice things about Israel but bottom line - they won't lift a finger to stop the one country on earth whose regime vows to wipe out the Jewish State.

What could go wrong indeed

carl,

what petraeus said is not a good thing.

it singles out european jews as the builders of israel

close to one million jews from arab countries also had a hand in building the land

by pointing out only the europeans and connecting the creation of the state of israel to the holocaust, he plays right into what all the jew haters think

btw, i just watched defamation. are secular high schools still teaching that israel was created because of the holocaust, and everyone in every country hates the jew?
