I am an Orthodox Jew - some would even call me 'ultra-Orthodox.' Born in Boston, I was a corporate and securities attorney in New York City for seven years before making aliya to Israel in 1991 (I don't look it but I really am that old :-). No one thinks sanctions will work except to the self imposed blind. Most certainly the powers that be are aware of the futility of sanctions.
This exhaustive long legacy of warnings and so-called 'worries' reap little if any reward from toothless weak leaders except only to drag out the inevitable.
The only thing this idiotic dance of fools provides is to make Iran stronger and all the rest weaker.
Be assured, Iran can, because they can.
