Two Idiots may not Patrol Hebron
Israel may not extend the mandate of the 'Temporary International Presence in Hebron' (or as it's known here Two Idiots Patrolling Hebron) when it expires at the end of January. If so, the move is long overdue. Jerusalem reportedly feels the force is one-sided in its criticism of Israel, and believes that the TIPH is assisting human rights groups in the West Bank to compile anti-Israel reports.If you search those five countries on this blog, you will find that with the exception of Denmark, they have all been recently involved in extreme anti-Israel acts.
Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman reportedly appointed his deputy, Danny Ayalon, to look into the issue. Ayalon toured Hebron on Thursday, visiting the TIPH headquarters and speaking with officers and soldiers serving in the force. Norway, Switzerland, Sweden, Turkey and Denmark send representatives to serve in the TIPH.
The Jerusalem Post could not confirm the report.
Foreign Ministry officials accused TIPH personnel of relaying false reports against IDF soldiers and Jewish settlers, while completely ignoring the violent acts by Palestinians against the Jewish residents. "They just vilify Israel," the radio station quoted a Foreign Ministry source as saying.
The source added that another reason Israel was considering changing the current framework was that the Palestinian Authority, which in the past had cooperated with Israel and the TIPH, recently stopped its cooperation.
TIPH was set up in 1994.

They sooner they are expelled, the better. The TPIH certainly haven't contributed to peace between the city's Arabs and Jews.

I bet Shimon Peres will intervene to extend their mandate.
