'Israeli Arab' MK wants Yesha Council made a designated terror group
'Israeli Arab' MK Taleb el-Sana, who was just indicted for violating Israeli law by visiting Syria two years ago, wants the United States to declare the Yesha Council - the governing body of the Jewish towns in Judea and Samaria - a designated terror organization.MK Talab El-Sana (United Arab List-Ta'al) wants the Yesha Council added to the US administration's global list of terror organizations following the torching of a West Bank mosque Friday.Two questions:
"In contrast to the organizations that appear on the list of terror organizations, which fight for the right for self definition, the settlers use terror to thwart the rights of the Palestinians for self definition," El-Sana said. "The torching of the mosque is an act of terror."
1. How many people were killed? (Answer, none).
2. What proof is there that the Yesha Council had anything to do with this? (Answer, none).
El-Sana's demand is out of place.

If I didn't know better, I would have thought it was an April Fools' Day joke.
It is definitely a 'chutzpa of the year award' candidate. Yes, it is very out of place, but the one thing that worries me is that Hussein would actually name the Yesha Council a 'designated terror organization'. When it comes to hating Israel? He could win Pride of Place, and in some ways nearly makes Carter the Jew hater look almost good.
Expect the Israeli Left to demand the Yesha bodies be designated terror groups and outlawed. The only problem holding the state back is that is more problematic to round up 500,000 people than a mere handful of fringe Kahane followers. What stops the Israeli government isn't morality but a fear it can't win a confrontation with so many people.
