I think this video misses the point just slightly. It's not that living in a crowded place breeds terrorism, it's that high population density is just another factor contributing to what is perceived as abject squalor, poverty and misery. The point is, people like space, and Gazans don't have it. Part of the point of making the population density statement is that it implies that not only do Gazans have no choice to attack from populated areas when they attack, but that any retalitation against them will likley affect civilians. I don't think the point is really that population density leads to terrorism.
Hong Hong is far more crowded than Gaza and its not a terrorist hellhole. Gaza's backwardness is a matter of the policy choices of its Hamas' rulers - and which explains why a lot of Gaza Arabs would leave if they could.
I am an Orthodox Jew - some would even call me 'ultra-Orthodox.' Born in Boston, I was a corporate and securities attorney in New York City for seven years before making aliya to Israel in 1991 (I don't look it but I really am that old :-). I have been happily married to the same woman for thirty-five years, and we have eight children (bli ayin hara) ranging in age from 13 to 33 years and nine grandchildren. Four of our children are married! Before I started blogging I was a heavy contributor on a number of email lists and ran an email list called the Matzav from 2000-2004. You can contact me at: IsraelMatzav at gmail dot com
