Civil war?

It's been a busy day in Judea and Samaria.

Building inspectors have been barred by protesting residents from entering Kiryat Arba, Karnei Shomron, Revava, Talmonim and Har Gilo to enforce the 'settlement freeze.'
The inspectors were more successful on Monday, when they managed to issue 50 stop-work orders at sites where they felt the foundations were not yet properly set. Four bulldozers and tractors, as well as building material, were also confiscated.

Also Tuesday, Defense Minister Ehud Barak stressed that the security cabinet's decision on a ten-month moratorium on new construction in Judea and Samaria will be fully implemented.

"Government decisions must be obeyed and will be fully implemented, in a way that will ensure as much dialogue with the settlers as possible," a conciliatory Barak said after meeting with reserve soldiers at the Judea and Samaria Division headquarters, ahead of a session with the IDF commanders charged with reinforcing the edict.

"The Judea and Samaria leadership is responsible, patriotic and Zionist, and withstood many ordeals. I believe and hope we shall overcome this ordeal, while executing the government's decisions," he said.
Good luck with that. Anyone else have the impression that the government didn't expect this kind of opposition? Maybe Obama can send the Marines. This is probably the one place in the world that he's willing to commit troops.

Heh.

Civil war is what the world has wished for. Next to being placed in pariah status, next to being nuked of course. Most sadly we will walk right into it like the idiots we are. The dividing of the people of Israel will have even far greater benefits for a world who cares less if Israel is destroyed then the division of Jerusalem. (G-d forbid)

Pushing the people of Israel against each other is the final outcome. How we as a people can come together before that happens will take give and take on both sides. If this does not occur we will for certain and to the applause of the world, finish ourselves off!

Time for a look inward! We are acting like selfish children even though both sides have good reason for what they are doing.

We are our own worse enemies. For me these were difficult words to use.

nomatter, part of "Israeli" society is trying to destroy Israel. This is a fight which must be met.

I disagree with you, Nomatter. As Thomas Jefferson said "I hold it, that a little rebellion, now and then, is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical."

Oh, not that I wished it had come to this, but the enemies from within our people will have to be dealt with, and it is they that have pushed and shoved.

I will not write everything I think and hope for, under the current circumstances Israel is in.

Have you seen the S-H-I-T List?

Keep knitting, Madame Defarge! Keep knitting!

The government should not count on any compliance with its edict. It will have to enforce it itself - if it had any illusions that revanant inhabitants would cooperate peacefully in their own strangulation they are gone. Its going to be a long hard ten months to thwart the "evil decree."

I would never say lay down and die or worse be silent!!

There is a price for everything and the consequences there of are not always as we wish them to be.
