Naples, Florida: 'Kick a Jew day'

Here's a video report from Naples, Florida about 'Kick a Jew day.' Ten students have been suspended for kicking Jewish students.

Let's go to the videotape and then I'll have more comments (Hat Tip: Political Byline via The Other McCain).

Anyone else think this might have something to do with the Obama administration's war on Israel?

By the way, what is a one-day in-school suspension? When I was a kid, if you were suspended, you were sent home.

Perhaps Holder will intervene, represent, and appeal that harsh punishment. A trial by jury is the best way to assure their rights aren't violated.

In-school suspension means you just sit in the school office all day staring out the window.

If this was "kick a nigger day" those kids would sure get more than one day of in-school suspension.

yeah, as the report said, its something fairly widespread. i remember seeing the exact same thing on the news just a year ago. it was called the exact same thing, kick a jew day.

in my area, a kid with an in-school suspension has to sit in the principal's office and do his work there all day. i think they do it so that the kids won't have the fun of missing school. because not all parents would discipline a suspended kid.

actually kids are given "in-school suspension" because they are entitled to an education by law. giving them a day off at home 'deprives' them of their education (and makes problems for caregivers and leads to unsupervised activity, etc. etc.)
hopefully the anti-bullying law in FL will kick in and they can receive criminal charges....
