Caroline Glick's response to the Goldstone Commission Report...
... is for the most part not what you expected.I've posted this song before, but Caroline found it with scenes from Operation Cast Lead.
Let's go to the videotape and I'll come back with a bit more afterward (Hat Tip: Shy Guy).
Caroline notes:
I happened upon the video pasted below by chance last week and it occurred to me that the people of Israel don't really care about Goldstone and the UN and all their libels against our sons, and daughters, our brothers and sisters, husbands and wives in the IDF. We aren't seeking their approval or permission. We know who we are and we know who our soldiers are.Game, set and match. Read the whole thing.
I think this video pretty much sums it up. The song in the background is Psalm 121. It was written by King David.
The folks at Art Scroll/Mesorah Publications were kind enough to send me their translation of the psalm for those of you who are unfamiliar with the text.

Carl - the entire theme of Psalm 121 is reliance on G-d's protection. The evils of Man and Nature cannot harm Israel as long as its Guardian watches over it. And that's true when one goes forth and when one returns:
Adonai yishmorcha mikol ra, yishmor et nafshecha.
Adonai yishmor tzetcha uvoecha, me’attah ve’ad olam.
Hashem will guard your going out and your coming in.
From this time and forever.
G-d watches over the body and the soul of the Jew. Who can harm him? Certainly not those who hate Israel and wish to see her destroyed.
For as it says in Lekha Dodi:
Ve-hayu limshisah shosayich
Ve-rachaku kol mevalayich
Your enemies will be consumed
Far removed are they who would consume you.
How can Goldstone hurt Israel?
For in Adon Olam, the Jew remembers who will preserve his life when he sleeps and when he is awake:
B'yado af'kid rukhi
b'eyt 'ishan v'a'ira
v'im rukhi g'viyati
Adonai li v'lo 'ira
Into his hand I commit my soul
When I sleep and when I'm awake,
My soul and my body together
I shall not fear; Hashem is with me.
So it is with Israel!
Not specific to the Goldstone report, but about the 'palis'.
It doesn't matter what they say or think or even do. Israel is, and will be, and nothing they can do will change that.
They lost, clear and simple. Their brethren lost in war after war.
Its past time to call a spade a spade, and start publicly and vocally continuously decrying their stances, their brethren's stances, their intransigence, their inability to grasp reality, and their repeated string of failures for their own people, for people of the world.
Its time to call them to the mat, to hold them accountable, and not let them squirm away. Thanks to the 'palis' we have lots of security on mass transit, long lines and significant restrictions on what we can bring. Thanks to their brethren we have specific liquid and shoe inspections, explosive detectors, and terrorist detection techniques.
Is this really the legacy they want to leave?
So pathetic. So sad.
I don't care if they never give up their 'dream'. I do care if they keep murdering and killing. Its past time to hold them accountable for their actions and inaction. Same for their brethren.

Without our historic homeland, we will suffer as we did in the past. Support our boys/girls in uniform. Weakness and appeasement is not answer. Am Yisrael Chai
