Reporter's book alleging Israeli harvesting of 'Palestinians' organs financed by Swedish foreign ministry

Israel's cabinet reacted with fury on Sunday to the saga of the blood libel perpetrated by the Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet, hinting that Swedish foreign minister Carl Bildt (pictured), who is scheduled to visit Israel next week, may be told to stay home if an apology is not forthcoming.
Ministers at the weekly cabinet meeting expressed outrage at the article and Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz went so far as to say that those who refuse to condemn such libel "may not be welcome in the state of Israel."

While Steinitz did not specify his meaning, his comments were possibly a reference to Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt, who is set to visit Israel in early September but has rejected calls to condemn the story.

"We have a crisis until the Swedish government responds differently," Steinitz said.
The Israeli government is also holding up press credentials for a reporter and photographer for Aftonbladet.
In related news, two visiting journalists for the Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet which ran the story arrived at the Government Press Office (GPO) in Jerusalem Sunday to request press accreditation, Israel Radio reported. GPO Director Danny Seaman told the radio station that he had instructed his employees to take as much time as is needed and allowed by regulations - up to three months - to review the request.

Seaman said that the two journalists, a reporter and a cameraman, had responded angrily and even "rudely" to the news that the review process may take time. Seaman asked his employees to explain to the two that the process may take some time due to checks that must be made, including - he said jokingly - blood tests to check the reporters' blood types and eligibility for organ transplant.
I had a Swedish commenter suggest that maybe Israel should investigate the allegations contained in the Aftonbladet blood libel. Here's how Israel's ambassador to Sweden, Benny Dagan, reacted to that suggestion.
"You know what, I have a suggestion for you," Dagan retorted. "Why won't you investigate why the Mossad and the Jews were behind the bombing of the twin towers? Why won't we investigate why Jews are spreading AIDS in the Arab countries? Why won't we investigate why Jews killed [Christian children to bake Matzot on Pessah]?"
And finally this little tidbit. A report in the Hebrew daily Ma'ariv says that Donald Bostrom, who wrote the article in Aftonbladet, also alleged in a book he wrote about the Israeli - 'Palestinian' conflict in 2001 that Israel harvested 'Palestinians' organs for transplant. The book was financed by the Swedish foreign ministry and is titled Inshallah (God willing in Arabic).

It's long past time to bring Benny Dagan home.

paraphrasing a christian line, by their deeds you shall know them.

We know what the Swedes are now, don't we.

Its time to treat them as they deserve to be treated.

Make the crime fit the punishment.

All inbound Swedes should have a card issued to them that indicates that they are willing organ donors in every conceivable case, including such cases where organ donation could cause their immediate death.

Since the organ harvesting blood libel is exactly that, a blood libel and not reality, why not invent the thing they claim Israelis do, and specifically target the idiots and their countrymen who reported this fiction as fact?

Its also way past time to call them out for this, in public, in the most embarrassing and humiliating way. Send their ambassador home, recall Israel's ambassador to Sweden. Deny entry to Swedish goods and services, make Swedish citizen entering/departing the country subject to rigorous investigation, and hold them in detention until the investigations are done.

See if they get the message that they are a bunch of idiots. Free speech is fine. Blood libels, and defense of same are idiotic. They should be ashamed. So make them ashamed.

They are standard euroweenies though, and won't get the message.

We also need to boycott Swedish goods and businesses in Israel. IKEA comes to mind. Mustn't forget, their founder was a Nazi sympathizer.

Israel should tell Bildt to stay home and revoke relations with Sweden. There is a line any self-respecting country should not allow to be crossed. The fact Sweden officially sponsored blood libel slander should make Israel take the harshest possible measures. This is not the time for business as usual with Sweden.
