Pope Benedict the chic 'Palestinian'?

Sorry folks, but this is just sickening (Hat Tip: Shy Guy).
Pope Benedict XVI on Wednesday met in the Vatican on Wednesday with a group of Palestinian Catholics, who presented him with traditional Palestinian scarf as a gift.

The 27 faithful from a Bethlehem parish were among thousands attending the pope's weekly Wednesday audience in St. Peter's Square.
At the end of the service, two youths from the group were brought to the pope and draped the checkered black-and-white scarf on his shoulders. Benedict chatted briefly with them while wearing the scarf, which an aide later removed.
Well at least the aide removed it. Next thing you know, the Pope will be doing Dunkin Donuts ads with Rachel Ray.

UPDATE THURSDAY 10:44 AM

Debbie Schlussel reports that this was a pre-arranged photo-op. Sickening.

That was a very clear signal to the Vatican saying, "We own you." She should have simply handed it to the pope or an aide, but instead, actively placed it around his head. The disrespect she shows is astounding. On the same level as placing a tallit around the head of Ahmadinejad.

Israeli's should really consider how as a country, we choose to greet the pope when he is here.

Here's a link with more disturbing news about the pope's planned activities while in the middle east.

We would never do that. A non-denominatory noose would do.

Matt,

I've been sitting on a much bigger story for about a month, because I can't verify it.

We all know Jesus was really a Palestinian. Why? Because the Palestinians claim he is really the first Muslim just as they have brazenly rewritten the rest of Jewish history. So we shouldn't be surprised the Vatican goes right along with it!

Is the story that Carl is sitting on connected with handing over the Mount of Olives to the RC Church?

On behalf of Christians, we who are believers in Yeshua the Messiah Son of David and the one True Triune God of Israel; I would like to say to all Jewish Israelites: Beware of the Catholic Church, especially the Roman Catholic Church which the Pope represents. As I have stated before, Catholicism is nothing more than paganized Christianity involving blasphemous acts such as praying to the dead. I will recommend again a great book detailing the horrors of the Roman Catholic Church and it's place in the "last days": "A Woman Rides the Beast: The Roman Catholic Church and the Last Days" by Dave Hunt.

The only use for the terror rags are to wipe one's behind in my opinion. Please my Jewish friends, do not lump Christianity with Roman Catholicism despite the polls that show Catholicism has the dominant "sect" of Christianity.

I love the Jewish people and wish to do them no harm, for through them the oracles of God spoke and it was written so that even the gentiles may have light in darkness so they can see the Holy God of Israel. Through them the promises of God are seen and made perfect, through them my faith is able to stand, through them I can see God's working in this hellish world, through them I know the fearsome awe of the Holiness of the God of the Jews, and yes, the Gentiles.

Never lift a hand against them, and by Rav Shaul writing's to the Romans we must bless them with material and monetary blessings (Romans 15:27).

Blessings,
Daniel

Thanks Daniel434.

I see that you Proteststants dislike the Catholics more than you dislike the Jews.

What else is new?

"On the same level as placing a tallit around the head of Ahmadinejad."Not at all the same. In the case of the Pope, a Kafia is consistent with the Church's anti-Semitic history. A Tallit around the head of a demon, however, is nothing less than a desecration of the Tallit, even worse than taking it into the bathroom.

I'm a Baptist, we are not Protestants nor did I even mention my affiliation. There are great reasons why I dislike the Roman Catholic system and it's theology, just a basic grasp of history will show you why, but, there are far more complex reasons. Oh, and for the record -- I do not hate them (Catholics), but I do hate the idolatry they practice as well as other unbiblical practices.

Blessings & Love,
Daniel

Laser,

What I'm sitting on may include the Mount of Olives, but much more than that.

Ytba, I would like a source for "desecration of the Tallit, even worse than taking it into the bathroom."

Where is that regarded as as desecration?

And also, how about a source for your claim that "Maybe A7 is right, Ratslinger really IS smoking dope!"

Thanks in advance.

Daniel, I am puzzled by your statement that "I'm a Baptist, we are not Protestants."

I was always under the impression that Baptists are Protestants. Please explain.

I also am intersted in knowing your attitude towards "unbiblical practices" practiced by the Jewish people.

@Laser:

Baptists were first known as "Anabaptists", that is, re-baptizers. They existed before the term protestant arose and before Martin Luther. The name "Anabaptist" was meant to mock the early Baptists. We are not protestants because Baptists never "protested" anything, the early baptists were pacifists and slaughtered by the thousands by Roman Catholics. The closest comparison to the first Anabaptists would be the Amish, but, of course theology and doctrine changed in a country (USA) not run by a Pope or King so modern Baptists are not pacifists.

Just google "Anabaptist" or "Baptist History" (which you could have done without asking me) but I am happy to oblige.

RE: Unbiblical Practices. I am "puzzled" (to use your word) why you would even ask such a question except to provoke a dispute on a blog run by an orthodox Jew.

Since this is the case, I will make it short: I do not see any unbiblical practices with Judaism for much of what they practice has been handed down to the gentiles. The Re-Judaizing of Jesus or Yeshua is extremely important. Therefore my attitude is one of extreme gratitude for and to the Jews, and their customs, and yes, even I will fast on their holy days and buy Matzah and eat kosher at times.

Blessings & Love,
Daniel
