Obama's favorite columnist

Fareed Zakaria of the Washington Post (Hat Tip: Memeorandum) is known as Obama's favorite columnist.
The problem with American foreign policy goes beyond George Bush. It includes a Washington establishment that has gotten comfortable with the exercise of American hegemony and treats compromise as treason and negotiations as appeasement. Other countries can have no legitimate interests of their own. The only way to deal with them is by issuing a series of maximalist demands. This is not foreign policy; it's imperial policy. And it isn't likely to work in today's world.
The 'Washington establishment's foreign policy seems to have worked pretty well for the last eight years.

Does the fact that he seemingly limits his screed to other 'countries' mean that Zakaria would actually acknowledge that terror organizations like Hamas and Hezbullah don't have 'legitimate interests of their own'? (Don't hold your breath).

And by the way, is he implying criticism of Bush's predecessor as well? Just askin'....

There's a difference between a hegemon and the rest of the world. But its a fact of life that appears to be beneath Fareed Zakaria's notice.

You tell 'em, Farkweed. After all, the Arabs want to be the bosses so now it's time for Washinton to submit the their hegemony.

The funny thing is that the idiot journalists who covered for O'Bunko, by not digging into the evil people he likes, are hated just as much as the Conservatives are. Fools.
