Leftist Deputy Defense Minister calls for IDF to recapture... Jewish towns in Gaza

JPost reports that Labor MK, Deputy Defense Minister and former IDF Chief of Staff Matan Vilna'i has called for the IDF to "recapture areas from which rockets are fired into the Western Negev."
Deputy Defense Minister Matan Vilna'i expressed opinions reportedly shared by others in the Defense Establishment when he called on Sunday for Israel to recapture areas from which rockets are fired into the western Negev.

Speaking at a conference held at the National Security Research Institute in Tel Aviv, Vilna'i assessed that despite Operation Cast Lead, mortar shells were still the central threat facing the residents of Israel's South.

According the deputy minister, the Iron Dome System will be ready for operation in the winter of 2010, enabling Israel to shoot down projectiles fired at population centers.

Also at the Tel Aviv conference, OC Home Front Command Maj.-Gen. Yair Golan said that another IDF operation in the Gaza Strip was not unrealistic.
What they're not telling you is what those seemingly innocuous 'areas' are. So I will tell you.
Paratroopers continuing to operate on rocket sites - the former Jewish towns of Nisanit, Dugit and Elei Sinai. Yet another reason why expelling Jewish residents from Gaza a bad, bad mistake.
And I will tell you again:
IDF tanks and infantry are now roaming the ruins of the former Gaza Strip Jewish towns of Dugit, Nisanit and Elei Sinai. If Fat Arik hadn't expelled all the Jews, the soldiers would even have a place to have a cup of coffee now. The idea is to place the tanks in the areas from which the 'Palestinians' have been launching Kassams. If you read my previous report, you already know that it has not been particularly effective.
But expelling all those Jews from Gaza to turn it over to the 'Palestinians' was a great idea, wasn't it? After all, we had to keep all those IDF troops in place to protect them....

Ehud Olmert keeps reminding every one how much the world will love Israel if it gives up every last square centimeter of territory to the Palestinians.

That worked out so well in Gaza, that your own Deputy Defense Minister says Israel needs to return there... to stay!
