About Me
- Name: Carl in Jerusalem
- Location: Jerusalem, Israel
I am an Orthodox Jew - some would even call me 'ultra-Orthodox.' Born in Boston, I was a corporate and securities attorney in New York City for seven years before making aliya to Israel in 1991 (I don't look it but I really am that old :-). I have been happily married to the same woman for thirty-five years, and we have eight children (bli ayin hara) ranging in age from 13 to 33 years and nine grandchildren. Four of our children are married! Before I started blogging I was a heavy contributor on a number of email lists and ran an email list called the Matzav from 2000-2004. You can contact me at: IsraelMatzav at gmail dot com

Chs Freeman represents the electorate that voted for Barak Obama. I was gobsmacked by members of JPAC and others who attempted to convince me that local Lubavitchers were touting the gematria of Barak Obama's name as that of Mashiach. Utter nonsense on many levels.
American Jewry has lost its mind by voting for Barak Obama and then becoming apologists for Chas Freeman, and the electorate who are fairly represented by Barak Obama and people like Chas Freeman and George Mitchell.
His comments as to the Tienanmen Square protesters, made me think that he's actually a member of China's politburo.
The rest of his anti-Israeli invective is unoriginal.
The only thing that I'm surprised at is how long it took for others to take notice and remove him from his impending appointment at the National Intelligence Council to provide our nation with an (sic) unbiased analysis to present the President--BHO--with a clear and reliable intelligence assessment.
If that was the case--all BHO needs are copies of Mein Kampf, The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, and the Manifesto of the Communist Party.

Do you want to know why I think nothing in the world happens by coincidence? I don't think it is coincidence that Chas Freeman was forced to withdraw by Purim. You see, deliverance still comes from G-d. A person of faith keeps looking for signs of His presence in the world and sure enough, it is there!
That is something Freeman, with all his alleged wit and wisdom will never understand.
