Sweet: Marzel to be chief election observer in Um-el-Fahm

Baruch Marzel will serve as the chief election observer in the 'Israeli Arab' town of Um-elFahm in the Galilee, a town through which Marzel has been trying to obtain a police permit to march for months.
The Central Elections Committee approved the appointment of Marzel at the request of the Jewish National Front party, Army Radio reported on Monday morning.

Israel Police and the Justice Ministry have repeatedly delayed a right-wing protest through the streets of the Arab city, planned by Marzel and Itamar Ben-Gvir.
Petition to the High Court of Justice to be filed in 5... 4... 3... 2... 1...

Heh.

UPDATE 11:41 AM

If you were confused by the reference to the Jewish National Front, so was I. That party is not running in this election. It has become a part of National Union. Here's a longer report by the JPost, which gets two different parties mixed up. It seems the Post has a little problem keeping the players straight.
The Central Elections Committee approved the appointment of Marzel at the request of the Jewish National Front party, Army Radio reported on Monday morning. After being approved as observer, Marzel said: "I will prevent the Arabs from causing trouble."

Each party running in the elections for the 18th Knesset is entitled to send a representative to oversee ballots in any location in the country. The National Union party was allowed to send out 160 observers to ballots nationwide, including Umm el-Fahm. Marzel promised that after counting the votes in El-Razi high school in the city, he would report with the results to the Umm el-Fahm municipality.
And lest they try to make it disappear, here's the page for you....

You know its progress when Israel's leftist establishment is exhausted after persecuting the Kahanists for twenty years.

Hopenchange, Israeli-style.

Abu Yussif,

Arabs enter exclusively Jewish towns and neighborhoods every day without the locals rioting.
