Video: Training for urban combat

There are currently hundreds of IDF troops fighting Hamas terrorists in a close quarters urban setting. This Sky News report looks at how those troops are trained. Some of the troops are interviewed and discuss what they were thinking on the eve of the current action.

Let's go to the videotape. I'll have a reminder for you at the end.

Israel has decades of urban warfare experience. The only place that did NOT involve fighting in and around close built up urban centers were the Sinai Campaigns of 1956 and 1967. Before Israel fought conventional army units. Now it faces irregular guerrilla type units that meld into and emerge from among the civilian population making finding and defeating them a very difficult task. But not an impossible one.
