Iran to publish 'satirical' book on Holocaust in English
The government of Iran plans next week to release English and Arabic translations of a book of caricatures and satires of the Holocaust. The book deals with the "big historical distortion" of the Holocaust and the English and Arabic editions would be published at a ceremony in Tehran later this month when a message from Ahmadinejad would be read out, Fars News Agency said.The book should be required reading for the Hopenchange administration taking power in Washington tomorrow. Not that I'm convinced it would matter.

It appeared to be translations of a book which official media in September said had been published about the "fiction" of the Holocaust. Details could not immediately be confirmed.
"The presentation ceremony will be held on January 27th, with the attendance of a number of government officials," said Mohammad-Mehdi Hemmati, who is involved in the project.

Iran's IRNA news agency said in September the book had 52 caricatures plus satirical writings over 108 pages. It was published by Martyr Shahbazi Publications and the Islamic student movement of the Science and Industry University.
Iran staged an international competition and exhibition of cartoons about the Holocaust in 2006. That contest was held in response to cartoons published in Denmark that were deemed anti-Islamic, officials have said.

On the contrary. It would probably just reinforce their Israel loathing that much more.
Dont just blindly believe what our leaders make us believe. Let's see the other side too. We are people of brain, not idiots.
ShyGuy, there's irony in a country that wants to inflict a Second Holocaust upon the Jews publishing a satirical book on the Holocaust. They are oblivious to it. Only a Jew could appreciate the joke in what in what they're doing even if it isn't a very funny one.

Do you mean we should see the Iranian side that claims there wasn't a Holocaust?
Ridiculing the Holocaust is another way of de-humanizing Jews and their collective memory. Words are the father to the deed and we should take every thing that happens in Iran seriously. People laughed when Hitler threatened to annihilate the Jews because no sane person would kill millions of innocent people. And we all know the outcome. There's no reason in the world to laugh at Iran's plans to wipe out Israel. About that you can be sure it goes well beyond satire.
