If fired upon, Israel will respond

Israel Radio reports that if fired upon after 2:00 am, IDF soldiers are being ordered to respond, and if there are attacks against Israeli civilians (which there have been all along for the last hour), 'we will know how to respond.'

The Likud has come out with an announcement that they are opposed and that we should continue the operation right now. Nothing has been accomplished yet. Egypt's reaction makes the MOU with the US meaningless (Egypt won't allow foreign soldiers to control weapons smuggling on its soil). The Likud says we must continue to act until the goals are reached - weapons smuggling stops, shooting stops and Gilad Shalit is returned.

What goals have Olmert, Livni and Barak attained? A hudna? For that, they didn't need to risk IDF soldiers' lives and enter Gaza. No wonder Hamas is claiming victory!

And Hamas has announced they will continue to fire rockets at Israel, as long as IDF troops are in Gaza.

Sounds like the perfect recipe for a ceasefire, right?

Jameel.... Israel's leaders spat upon the troops and told them crushing Hamas was of no importance to them - no more than lives of the people of Israel they are charged with protecting. This act is high treason and they should all be hanged from the gallows!

Jameel already confirmed Hamas broke the ceasefire first. Did the fools of Chelm - Olmert, Livni and Barak really think a bunch of genocidal thugs would show restraint vis a vis Israel? Fools, all of them!
