Obama throws Cub fans under the bus! UPDATED WITH VIDEO

This is way off topic but since Mrs. Carl grew up rooting for the lovable losers, and my son-in-law still roots for them, I couldn't resist posting this. Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Hussein Obama threw fans of the Chicago Cubs under the bus on Monday (Hat Tip: Hot Air).
Obama joked about the stereotype of Cubs fans, who probably are tired of being described as partying people-watchers instead of serious baseball fans.

...

Scott: “If the Cubs and the White Sox both make it to the World Series?

Obama: “I would be going.”

Scott: “Who would you root for?

Obama: “Oh, that's easy. White Sox. I'm not one of these fair weather fans. You go to Wrigley Field, you have a beer, beautiful people up there. People aren't watching the game. It's not serious. White Sox, that's baseball. Southside.”
Anyone out there he hasn't ticked off yet? It's getting awfully crowded under that bus.

/No one but Jews on the North side of Chicago anyway.

UPDATE 5:02 PM

Here's video of the interview (Hat Tip: Levy S.) so let's go to the videotape.

He makes the Cubs fans sound like the Angels fans (many of the Angels fans had left potential clinching game 5 of the 1986 ALCS before Donnie Moore served up a 2-strike home run to Dave Henderson that gave the Red Sox the lead in the bottom of the 9th).

I had to chuckle about your last line, sans /sarc, about Obama's friends on Chicagoland's north side.

Just when I thought that the Olympics comprised television's only entertainment, the closing ceremonies passed and coverage immediately jumped to the Democratics in Denver. Seems like we moved from an A+ in Olympic athletics to a D for the Democrats in Denver.

I wonder if Obama's grade as a President (chas v'chaleela, G-d forbid) vis-a-vis Jews and Israel would be as strong as a "D".

Mazal tov to you and Mrs. Carl on the wedding of your son tomorrow. I hope your fingers get some rest from blogging so your legs are strong for some great dancing and ruach (high spirit).

I'm so glad Obama doesn't hang with those North Side elitists. He's a true man of the people, or something.

While we're on the subject...

Let's go, Mets!

Jaw-dropper of the Day: Obama Recommended to Harvard by Dr. Khalid al Mansour

"Why would Dr. Khalid al Mansour be soliciting high-powered letters in favor of Barack Obama’s acceptance to Harvard?

"Good lord! does the media ever intend to do it's job? Why is it that blogs are digging this stuff up, but the media have no clue? Townhall posted this jaw-dropping series of videos of the man said to be linked to Obama in a way that should raise serious eye-brows. Does Obama owe his acceptance to Harvard and his career to this man? Who is Khalid al Mansour and how did he know Barack Obama? A cursory search on Youtube turns up several controversial clips, in the vein of Obama's longtime friend and former pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright.... and much worse."

And didn't native Chicagoan Hillary Clinton ditch the Cubbies to become a lifelong Yankee fan when she ran for Senate from NY?
