McCain: 'United States of America can never allow a second Holocaust'
With Democratic Presidential candidate Barack
Hussein Obama due to arrive in Israel on Tuesday, Republican Presidential candidate John
Sidney McCain took to Israel's airwaves on Monday night. In an interview with Israel's Channel 2 (commercial) television, McCain promised Israel that the United States would
never allow a second Holocaust to take place (
Hat Tip: Hot Air).
Asked about Israel feeling the need to attack Iran, McCain replied, "I would hope that would never happen, I would hope that Israel would not feel that threatened, " saying the U.S. and Europe could impose "significant, very painful sanctions on Iran which I think could modify their behavior."
He added, "But I have to look you in the eye and tell you that the United States of America can never allow a second Holocaust."
...
Asked about possible military actions against Iran, McCain said, "I think we have a lot of options to explored before we seriously explore the military option, and I don't think we have exercised those enough.
McCain said he favors low-level contacts with Iranian officials, but not a meeting of presidents without preconditions. He said Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad would take advantage of such a meeting and its media coverage to call for the destruction of Israel.
But would he use the military option if it was the only way to prevent Iran from attacking Israel? I think the answer is yes.

A point that's overlooked in the MSM's fawning coverage of Obama. America needs a President who will not hesitate to defend the country and to come to the assistance of its allies. Americans are not electing a state governor. They're electing a man to lead the most powerful country on the face of the earth. And unlike the pagan Romans of old, America uses her awesome power on behalf of freedom and good in the world and is a G-d fearing nation. Hopefully, this will still be the American Century.
