Goldwasser, Regev deal off?
In what could be the first step aimed at torpedoing the deal to exchange the corpses of Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev for mass murderer Samir al-Kuntar and other terrorists and corpses, an Iranian diplomat today accused Israel of holding four other Iranian 'diplomats' who disappeared during the 1982 Lebanon War.The Iranian, Mojtaba Ferdoussi, the charge d'affaires at the Iranian Embassy in Lebanon, said Iran has information that indicates that the missing Iranians are in Israel. Israel says the four were kidnapped by Christian Phalangist forces in south Lebanon and have not been heard from since. As part of the 'deal' to free Goldwasser and Regev's corpses, Israel is supposed to turn over 'information' that it obviously does not have about the four missing Iranian diplomats.
Bargaining with Arabs is like being in a mideastern bazaar: just when you think you've reached an agreement, they reopen the bargaining. That could be what is happening here. The Iranians may be trying to raise the price for Israel or to torpedo the deal altogether.

It was probably a bad deal in the first place. Maybe this is a good way to get it over with.

Given the stupidity of Israel's leaders, I'm more inclined to think they would do anything to grovel to Israel's enemies. They're not made of the stuff Moshe Plesser was made of, that's for sure. I don't think its Iran giving these goniffs a well deserved rebuke if that's true. Its G-d and Iran is only a tool like all the nations, to correct Israel's wayward course. We can only hope and pray its never going to be consummated.

Israel should promise the Arabs that, starting immediately, until all Israeli prisoners are released all Arab prisoners will be fed only a diet of pork. And those that die while in Israeli custody will be buried with pig intestines in their graves.
That promise should be published all over the Arab world and pamphlets should be dropped in the West Bank and Gaza.
