Do you believe in 'miracles?'

'Palestinian' chief negotiator Ahmed Qrei Abu Ala said today that it will 'take a miracle' for Israel and the 'Palestinians' to reach an agreement in 2008.
The lead Palestinian peace negotiator on Wednesday said that only a miracle would bring about a peace deal with Israel by the year-end target set at a U.S.-hosted regional peace summit last November.

The negotiator, Ahmed Qureia, said the two sides have been discussing all the key issues at the heart of their 60-year conflict, but stressed that gaps still exist.

Speaking in the West Bank on Wednesday, Qureia said while he believes progress can be made this year, it is unlikely a deal will be made by the target date unless there is a miracle.
Heck, I could have told him that before Annapolis.

A miracle would be the Palestinians' stop dictating terms to Israel and compromise. Surely they can't get everything they want? They think they don't have to abide by the rules of life and that's always keep peace in the Middle East as distant as a mirage in the desert.
