Is the US preparing for war in Iran?

Here's a news report from CBS last night that suggests that the United States may be preparing for a war on Iran. The motivation doesn't appear to be Iran's development of nuclear weapons but its assistance to terrorist elements in Iraq. Note that even Defense Secretary Gates, who is probably the least 'war-mongering' member of this administration, sounds like a neocon in this report. Let's go to the videotape.



Will President Bush go to war? I believe it's much more likely that he will go to war if it looks like a Democrat will win in November. George Bush has a sixth sense not to make his father's mistake of leaving unfinished business unless he is sure that the business will be finished.
