Video: Norman Finkelstein loves Hezbullah (there is no Jew hater like a self-hating Jew)
When we last left him, Norman Finkelstein, the Holocaust-denying professor who was denied tenure at De Paul University in Chicago, was walking the beaches of Coney Island brooding about his future. But no more. Normy was in Lebanon last month where he was interviewed by Future Television. You'll see in this video that there is no Jew hater like a self-hating Jew. The interviewer wants to reconcile with Israel, but Normy urges her to support Hezbullah - whom he 'respects' - instead. In perhaps the most incredible line in this video, Finkelstein says that Hitler 'would have been happier' if he could have 'accomplished his goals without war.' Watch this video if you can stand it. And realize that Finkelstein's views aren't just mainstream in the Dahiya of South Beirut, but also in places like Berkeley, California, the University of California at Irvine, and in parts of London, Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Brussels. That is the scariest part of all.

I am not a glutton for psychological punishment - so I will not be watching that again.
Norman Finkelstein's views are pretty typical on the Far Left. There are more Norman Finkelsteins at Israeli universities than outside the country. Jewish self-hatred is nearly as old as anti-Semitism. The Jewish need to be liked and accepted will lead some Jews to turn against and denounce their own people.
Wow! I'd somehow missed ever hearing of this guy until he was mentioned on LGF some months back. Then I was wondering what the deal was, who he was.
This guy is a total kook! A total nutball! I can't get over the way he says, "I won't tell you what to do with your lives..." and then goes on to imply that anybody who doesn't support Hezbollah's terrorism is a "slave of the Americans" and a "slave of the Israelis," that Hezbollah is the only group to honor and respect, because they are "the resistance," and anybody who opposes them or speaks against them and their ways is just a despicable boot-licker for Israel. The guy is insane.
And George W. Bush destroyed their _entire country_ in 2006? Really?
The guy is a nut. I wouldn't buy a bag of peanuts from him. I wouldn't believe a thing he said.
Wow. I can't get over just how bad that was.
I forget if I've ever mentioned this in comments here before, but I asked a friend who is on staff (not faculty) at DePaul what she knew about his tenure denial. She said the word on the street among the staff was that you were lucky if you never had to deal with him, that he was a jerk. Staff know these things about faculty.
