Appreciation for Bush?

This is how some of the newfound objects of the President's affections reacted on Wednesday night to his presence in Jerusalem. This demonstration took place outside the American consulate on Agron Street, just a few hundred meters from the King David Hotel in 'West Jerusalem.' Ironically, as most American citizens here know, because the US is so unwilling to recognize Jerusalem as our capital city, the US embassy is in Tel Aviv and if you want to do just about anything other than hand in an absentee ballot (like get a passport or a visa or register a child as a US citizen), you can't do it at the consulate on Agron Street. You have to go to the consulate in 'East Jerusalem' right behind where the Mandelbaum Gate (border crossing point) used to be between 1948-67. Or you can go to Tel Aviv....

Here's the description of the video:
Scores of protesters conducted a noisy demonstration outside the US Consulate building in Jerusalem on Wednesday night in protest of US President George Bush. Holding banners, and calling on the US President to leave. Demonstraters from the Israeli Arab sector, and others affiliated with the Left, and the Communist Party, blew whistles, played on drums and other instruments to draw attention. A heavy police presence surrounded the protesters, the demonstration took place several hundred meters from the King David Hotel where the US President is staying during his visit.01/09/08
But give them a state reichlet and they'll all love you, eh George?

The Palestinians loved Bush so much their idea of a welcome where threats to assassinate him. But give them a reichlet and they'll acquire a new found love for America. When pigs fly.
