I am an Orthodox Jew - some would even call me 'ultra-Orthodox.' Born in Boston, I was a corporate and securities attorney in New York City for seven years before making aliya to Israel in 1991 (I don't look it but I really am that old :-). I have been happily married to the same woman for thirty-five years, and we have eight children (bli ayin hara) ranging in age from 13 to 33 years and nine grandchildren. I laugh at it because I'm laughing at myself. It's a catchy tune with flowing words and if I can't laugh at myself, who can I laugh it? (By the way, the person who sent it to me is someone I've known forever - literally - and she's about where I am on the religious spectrum). If someone else is laughing at me, it's their problem and there's not much I can do about it anyway.
For the record, you're not the first critical comment I got on that one. I have to go back to politics.

I also think its very funny, but I worry that its purpose, which is not only to sell YES TV but also to undercut respect for Torah rulings will be effective.
We need to understand that the reason a minority of the population has all the power is there control of the nerve centers of the nation from the media to the universities and the judiciaries. So long as the chilonim have control of these institutions and so long as they care first last and only about their own power we will keep being friarers who let ourselves be stepped upon.
