Giuliani knows how to deal with terrorists
Republican Presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani seems to have the concept of "
ptzatza mitakteket" (ticking time bomb - when Israeli interrogators are allowed to use torture to obtain information from terror suspects) down better than most Israelis do:
But Giuliani told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer that there may be situations where waterboarding — a technique where a person undergoes simulated drowning — would be warranted to obtain critical information from an alleged terrorist, such as the location of a nuclear bomb about to explode.
Many human rights organizations consider waterboarding to be torture.
"I don't think you can write this out as a procedure that should be write out for all situations,” Giuliani said. “I think the president and the appropriate officials should have some discretion here.”
He's right. I'd waterboard a terrorist to prevent the next 9/11. And I'd sleep well that night too.

Rudy's numbers are sinking, and it seems that no one wants to remember 9/11, and his support of Israel. He takes no nonsense from anyone, and sadly has had on the job training for an event that could not have been imagined. His personal life is, I think, what is harming him, but he has all his priorities straight. No candidate in either party can touch him. If only reason wins out.
I agree re waterboarding.
This is a very long election, and the idea that terrorism is Job One is the elephant in the room that is being studiously ignored. (no pun intended.)
It's sad...I will vote for him! I am a fan of waterboarding...I think it works, it serves a purpose, and it's more fun than anything else I can think of!
