Temple Mount quarry pictures

As I mentioned last night, the newly-discovered quarry from which archaeologists believe that stones for the Temple Mount were taken is quite close to my house. This morning, on the way home from synagogue, I stopped off and took some pictures. My eight-year old son (a bit taller than average for an eight-year old - first kid over the 50th percentile at that age :-) is in a couple of the pictures to give you some perspective on the size of the rocks. I'll add a picture of the Western Wall at the end for comparison:











Note that in the next two pictures, on the left side, you can see the "deep and narrow trenches" described in the article I posted last night:

Great pics. So, now we know where to begin the stone work phase of the rebuild Temple.
