Marvin Kalb interviewed on Israeli television about Hezbullah's media manipulation
On June 16, 2007, Prof. Marvin Kalb (whom I remember as a newscaster here in the States) gave an interview to Israeli television. Kalb researched the media battle between Israel and Hezbullah in last summer's war in Lebanon. He claims that Hezbullah intimidated and manipulated the western media and that Israel deals with news as news while Hezbullah deals with news as propaganda. Note especially at the beginning of the interview (with Israel Television's Yaakov Achimeir) where he talks about how Hezbullah threatened to confiscate cameras of journalists, and at 6:21 of the video where he describes how Hezbullah misled the western media by making up an event that never occurred in reality.

Both Marvin Kalb and his brother Bernard are very impressive.
I remember Marvin Kalb from CBS, when it was still the Platinum network, well before Rathergate. Now? It is on my scroll by.
I had not seen them on TV for ages.
