Cabel quits; Solodkin calls on Olmert to resign

Labor party minister without portfolio Eitan Cabel has resigned saying that he cannot sit in a cabinet headed by Ehud K. Olmert. Cabel said that he hopes that the Prime Minister will follow in his footsteps. MK Marina Solodkin has become the first Kadima Achora MK to call on Olmert to resign in light of yesterday's report.

Yesterday, most of the government seemed to feel it could survive to the release of Winograd's final report in July, but today, most appear to believe that the government will have to resign because of the report's harshness.

The only ones who don't seem to get it yet are Yisrael Beiteinu leader Avigdor Lieberman and Shas leader Eli Yishai.

More later.
