Israel closes Rafah crossing to prevent Haniyeh from bringing in cash
Israel has closed the Rafah crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt due to intelligence information that indicates that 'moderate' 'Palestinian Prime Minister' Ismail Haniyeh intends to 'smuggle' millions of dollars in cash into the Gaza Strip to fund Hamas' 'activities.'Defense officials said that Haniyeh was said to be carrying 35 million US dollars which were to be brought into the Gaza Strip to fund Hamas activities.YNet is reporting that should Haniyeh ask to cross without the cash, he will be allowed to cross.
Haniyeh arrived in Egypt on Thursday on his way back home to the Gaza Strip after he decided to cut short his first trip abroad which included visits to Iran and Sudan.
Three days ago he said that Iran had promised to give him 250 million dollars to assist in stabilizing the Palestinian situation in the Gaza Strip.
Defense officials said that Peretz coordinated the decision to close the Rafah Crossing with all the relevant authorities.

Haniyeh left Gaza on Nov. 28 and had planned to travel for a month. But his trip drew criticism because the violence raging in the Palestinian territories and the need to continue to negotiate on a new government between his Hamas party and the rival Fatah.

The Jerusalem Post's Israel Alert Service (no link yet) is reporting that shortly after dark (sunset here was 55 minutes ago) two loud explosions rocked the Gaza - Egypt border as 'Palestinian'
I wonder which of them is carrying Mr. Haniyeh's cash.

Even if he drops the cash, he shouldn't be let back in. He is a bloodthirsty terrorist, and needs to be ostracized as such.
