Israelis are fleeing, Olmert is fiddling and Hamas is 'satisfied'

Seeing that their government is incapable of or unwilling to help them, Israelis are beginning to flee Sderot according to a report in WorldNetDaily. And Hamas is 'satisfied' - for now:
Hamas is "very satisfied" with reports here some Israelis in communities near the Gaza Strip are ready to flee their rocket-plagued towns while students reportedly have been skipping school for fear of being caught in regular Palestinian attacks, a senior leader of Hamas' so-called "military wing" told WND in an interview yesterday.

"The importance of what is happening in Sderot proves to the Palestinians, especially those who say rockets bring no results, that rocket attacks do bring big benefits," said Abu Abdullah, who is considered one of the most important operational members of Hamas' Izzedine al-Qassam Martyrs Brigades, Hamas' declared military wing.

"We promise we will keep hitting them because this process (of launching rockets at Jewish communities) is starting to bring results. We are working to improve our rockets to hit further and cause more Jews to evacuate," said the terror leader, speaking to WND from Gaza.

...

According to a report yesterday on the popular Ynet Israeli news website, upwards of 50 percent of Sderot's students have been skipping school the last few months, as the rocket attacks have intensified.

At a town meeting of Sderot teachers yesterday, the city's educators said many students are suffering from anxiety and have had difficulty preparing for exams.

"The situation is very problematic. We can hardly hold classes here," said Miri Sassi, head of the Sderot municipality education department.

"When there are [rocket] attacks, the students are sometimes forced to study in the hallways, several classes at a time. This certainly isn't a normal situation," Sassi said.

...

Hamas' Abu Abdullah told WND his group and other terror organizations are working to step up rocket attacks and target further inside Israel.

"Our goal is to evacuate neighborhoods in Sderot and Ashkelon," he said. "I am sure in next months it will not only be Ashkelon but also Ashdod (a major Israeli port city about 20 miles from Gaza) that will be our target."

Referring to a previous plan by the Israeli Defense Forces to use artillery units to create a civilian-free "sterile zone" in the northern Gaza areas most frequently used to launch attacks, Abu Abdullah said Palestinian rockets "will soon oblige Israelis to make their own sterile zones and evacuate their people."

The terror leader scoffed at pinpoint Israeli operations carried out the last few months in the northern Gaza Strip aimed at stopping rocket attacks.

"Even if they kill hundreds of our fighters, there is no way [the Israelis] can stop our attacks. While Israel was acting all over in Beit Hanoun, we shot many rockets from Beit Hanoun using new techniques of shooting I will not tell you about."
Last week, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert rejected plans to re-take the Gaza Strip, because it would mean admitting that the disengagement surrender and expulsion of Jews from the Gaza Strip has only whetted the terrorists' appetite for more, and has brought no benefit to Israel.

So Olmert, Peretz and Livni continue to fiddle and Israel continues to burn....

Some day the Israeli government will finally say "Enough." It sure is taking them long enough though.

Sorry "DragonLady", the Israeli political establishment is too corrupt and too allienated from the public they supposed represent to ever say "enough", unless it is as they strap themselves into their first-class seats headed for points west!

Our only hope is sooner rather than the Jewish People who still believe in Israel as a Jewish State will rise up and force a complete revamp of the political and justice system. In that sense, the worse things get, the closer we hopefully are to that moment of "enough"!

let's not miss the chance that is becoming clearer by the day...

the arabs are overplaying thier hand, the attacks are not new, they have been going on for 100 years. what is new and improved is the situation.

noone here doubts the israelis can and will take the proper forceful action once the situation is at the no turn back point, the ONLY ones that dont understand this is the arabs. they actually think they are winning.

at this moment the world would not support a major crack down on hamas/hezbollah/syria/iran

as pathetic as it sounds, jewish blood has to be spilled and in large enough amounts to justify jewish force. but there is a hope the arabs will continue to do stupid things and maybe make it easy for israel to respond.

the world doesnt view a few hundred homemade rockets, a few hundred single shot shootings, or a few hundred stabbings as a "cause" for war. But war is coming, real war. The good news? the arabs have already done all they can do, the truth israel has used 3% of it's ability.

The gloves will come off, arabs will cry and bombs will fly... The arab world doesnt build bomb shelters, let alone strong buildings with things called "code" and arabs will die and flee.

Then the world will point at the jews and cry SHAME, to which I shall stand tall and cry back... F*ck you hypocritial bastards, F*ck you.

I seek NO LOVE from you, I seek NO RESPECT, I SEEK YOU TO FEAR ME..AND STAY THE F*CK AWAY..

this day is coming....

patience...
