Happy Anniversary to the love of my life (and Happy Birthday Shlomo David)
Tonight, the 18th day of the Jewish month of Av, is my wife, Adina's and my 25th anniversary. That's us on the left. It is also the 7th birthday of our son, Shlomo David (son #3, child #6 - he's the one standing in front on the left in front of me and between the girls in the picture on the right). For those who are wondering, we celebrate all of our momentous occasions based on the Jewish calendar, and not based on the gregorian calendar. The pictures were taken in March at our eldest daughter's wedding. Our son-in-law is not in the family picture, because it was taken before the ceremony, and our daughter and son-in-law followed the custom that a bride and groom do not see each other during the week before the wedding, right up to the ceremony. For those who recall the link to the wedding pictures that I posted back in March, Shlomo David is also the boy who was in the picture holding the bridal bouquet.
I should 'introduce' you to the rest of the family. The two younger girls on the left are Machla Rachel (Maya) who was just 12, and Nechama, who was 15 a few weeks before that. The four boys on the right are Avraham Yaakov (next to and obviously taller than Adina - he is almost 21), Baruch Yosef to the right of him as you look at the picture (almost 18), and the little boys in the front on the right are Meir Simcha (4.5) and Yechezkel Yehuda Ariel (Chezky) who was 2 in Iyar (May). The bride is Avigayil Sara (also known as the "Beguiling Avigayil").
So Happy Anniversary to my lovely wife, Adina and Happy 7th Birthday to Shlomo David, who was the best anniversary present I ever got (especially because at the time, he was the first child in five years, and the first boy in eleven years). And may all of you also have many joyous occasions to celebrate.
