But if you give them a 'state' they will know how to run it

Imagine that there was a gang war going in a large American city, and that instead of hitting each other, each side was trying to one-up the other with menacing attacks on the general population. The mayor sends in the police and the gangs both turn on threaten to turn on the police. Would your mayor back down?

That's essentially what's happened in the 'Palestinian Authority' this morning. Except there it's even worse: the police are threatening the mayor too.

'Moderate Palestinian President' Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazen had decided for some strange reason that he was actually going to try to put a stop to the Kassam attacks on southern Israel from the Gaza Strip. So he had plan to deploy 'PA security personnel' in the northern Gaza Strip to prevent the 'militants' from firing rockets. Only one problem: the 'militants' - including militias from his own Fatah group according to the Jerusalem Post - threatened to attack the 'security personnel.' And since we cannot do anything that would 'disrupt the unity of the 'Palestinian' people,' Abu Mazen called off his plans.

It's never a dull moment in the 'Palestinian Authority.'
