Boogie with the Likud
This should come as no surprise to anyone who read this post yesterday.Former IDF Chief of Staff Moshe "Boogie" Yaalon will be joining the Likud according to a report on Israel Radio this morning that has been confirmed by senior Likud member and former education minister Limor Livnat.
According to Livnat, Yaalon will be "an important asset" for the party, but there is no intention to make him the party leader at the present time.

What do you think the chances are for a vote of no confidence followed by a center right coalition of Israel Betanyu,NRP,Likud and maybe what's left of Shas?
I would love to see Lieberman and Eitam in the cabinet.
I may not have predicted that Gen Yaalon would lead Likud, but I recognized that it was a possibility last week by noting the similarity between his views and Netanyahu's.

I don't see Netanyahu giving up the leadership position so quickly. He made that mistake once already.

The lack of preparation for war in the north is probably more the responsibility of the political level than the army. The army takes its orders from the politicians.
