We must be winning

Here's the surest sign that we are winning: Lebanon has asked for a cease fire.

Ynet is reporting that Lebanese Communications Minister Ghazi Al-Aridi told local media outlets Thursday afternoon that the Lebanese government has asked for a ceasefire to immediately end the IDF attacks in its territory.

Al-Aridi said his country is interested in an immediate and total ceasefire and will make use of all available channels towards this end. Meanwhile, the Lebanese government has demanded that the UN convene an emergency session to discuss the Israeli offensive.

Yes, of course they are interested in a cease fire. They are also interested in pretending that Hezbullah does not operate from their territory and in claiming that they cannot control Hezbullah. Sorry Mr. Al-Aridi. Those arguments went out the window when George Bush attacked the Taliban-led regime in Afghanistan after 9/11 for harboring al-Qaeda. You want to stop this attack? You claim you have nothing to do with Hezbullah's activities? Stop harboring Hezbullah. For six years you've been told to move your troops to the blue line and kick Hezbullah out of Southern Lebanon. You still haven't made a single move in that direction. And now you're paying the price.

In the meantime, the UN is sending a delegation to attempt to 'ease tensions' and the EU has condemned Israel for using 'disproportionate force' in Lebanon and for the naval blockade of supply routes European exports to that country.

There's more too....

Read it all.
