Failure of Egyptian mediation confirmed
I think we are now as close to an 'official confirmation' of the Egyptian mediation effort's failure as we are going to get.IDF Intelligence Chief, General Amos Yadlin, told the cabinet today that the contacts between Egypt and Hamas to secure the release of kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit, have amounted to nothing.
“The Egyptian mediation has not even reached the initial stages of negotiation,” he said.
