Terror attack foiled by work accident

An attempted terror attack near the Jewish town of Neve Daniel in the Etzion bloc was foiled this afternoon when a bomb detonated prematurely. The explosion occurred in a riverbed between the communities of Neveh Daniel and Sdeh Bo'az in Gush Etzion on Friday afternoon. No one was hurt in the explosion.

Area residents reported hearing the explosion at approximately 4:10 p.m. this afternoon, leading police to begin searches in the riverbed.

Sappers are examining the remains of the explosion.

According to unconfirmed reports, two Arab men were seen running away from the scene, but were later caught by security forces.

'Moderate Palestinian President' Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazen's Fatah's al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades has taken responsibility for the attempted attack.
