Palestinian Civil War Watch - New Hamas security force operational; Hamas kills its own
One day after Palestinian Fatah terrorists killed a Palestinian Hamas terrorist and wounded another in Gaza, and hours after Hamas killed two of its own men in the Jabalya 'refugee camp' in Gaza, Hamas announced that it's new 'security force,' headed by fugitive Jamal Abu Samhadanah, is operational.In direct defiance of Abbas' veto, Interior Minister Said Siam of Hamas told a news conference Wednesday that, "In line with my authority, I announce the beginning of the work of the executive unit that was formed recently to protect the security of the citizens and their property."
The Jerusalem Post reports that according to Israel Radio, the Wednesday morning killing of the Hamas men seemed to be a case of mistaken identity by the killers, who sought to avenge the killing of their comrades a day earlier by targeting members of Fatah, but mistakenly shot members of their own organization instead, according to Israel Radio.
